About the author
My name is Deon. I created this website as part of a personal project for school. I am currently in Grade 10 at an IB International school.
For this project I wanted to create something that would be helpful for people who suffer from mental health issues. As we have all heard in the news mental health issues are on the rise and especially in the younger generations.
So I did some research into ways that we could use food to help ourselves on our journeys to wellbeing. I wanted to share with people some of the simple things that we can do with our diet and nutrition on a daily basis to help our heads to feel and think better, ways to help people with anxiety feel calmer and people with depression to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
This may seem like a small thing in a massive health issue but it isn’t, taking control, even if just in a small way to help ourselves is empowering and can lead to better recovery and overall well being. My hope is that you find these pages inspiring and feel motivated to help yourself to be who you really are deep down inside, the amazing human being that you are.
